Our products follow the usual standards, but if you have any doubts about the size that will best fit your child's foot or your baby's first steps, we will answer the most common questions below and provide you with our Size Guide. There may be slight variations in sizes between different references, which is why Biomecanics is not responsible for the results of the measurements in this table applied to a specific item.

Do you have to leave 1 cm extra when selecting the size?

Our sizes already include enough room for the foot to fit correctly inside the shoe, that is, if your child's foot measures 11.8 cm, our recommendation is size 19, if their foot measures 13.2 cm, size 21 and so on as shown in the table:

Recommendations for choosing the correct size

  • Shoes that are too tight or too small should not be chosen, as this prevents the toes from being stretched out, causing pain in the instep and poor foot development. They should also not be too big, as the foot will move around, causing chafing and wounds during the growing stage.

  • You should always try on both feet, as there may be a difference in size from one foot to the other, as one foot grows before the other.

  • The child should wear socks similar to those he/she will wear with the shoe he/she is trying on.

In Biomechanics, we understand that each baby is unique, and some need footwear that offers greater comfort and safety. For this reason, we created the Wider line, designed especially for children who need more space at the toe and at the waist.

These models not only provide extra space at the toe and at the back, allowing enthusiasts to have the freedom to move, but they are also incredibly flexible. Also maintain the stability, protection and freedom necessary during your first adventures.
